Join Us for a Virtual Courage to Lead Gathering!

Join us on Tuesday, October 7 from 12-1pm ET for our next Courage to Lead Gathering. This month, we will be participating in a leadership dialogue on ‘How do you show up when your team is disengaged??’
In our recent leadership experience survey, 67% of leaders reported finding it challenging to lead when team members appear to be checked out or disengaged. Interestingly, according to Gallup, only 21% of employees worldwide in 2024 are engaged in their work. This raises the question: What role can leaders play in shaping environments where engagement thrives?
Team disengagement impacts trust, collaboration, and the ability to deliver on what truly matters. How we show up as leaders in these moments can make all the difference in deepening disengagement or inviting renewed commitment. Join us for a lunchtime dialogue where we will explore this challenge through a scenario-based learning approach. Together, we will think through how leaders can respond in ways that help repair trust or prevent disengagement from occurring in the first place.
Our dialogue will be grounded in the Courage to Lead concept of signal presence, which examines how we show up as leaders, especially in the face of challenging situations. If you have the book, you are welcome to review that chapter; however, it is not required to participate in the conversation. All are welcome!
Learning goals for this session:
- Reflect on the signals leaders send through their presence, communication, and actions
- Reflect on how decisions that impact people’s work are made, including the role of meaningful participation
- Explore ways to respond thoughtfully when teams show signs of disengagement to help maintain or restore engagement
